Privacy Policy

Standout Signature Studio is operated by Justin Cunningham Online ("we", "us"), based in New Zealand. This policy explains how we handle personal information under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Information we handle

• Builder content: the name, job title, company, contact details, links, captions and original images you enter are processed in your browser. We do not currently save editable signature drafts to your account; refreshing or closing the tab can lose your work.
• Account information: your account email, sign-in information and account identifier are handled by our authentication service.
• Payments: Stripe processes payment and billing details. We store customer, subscription and purchase identifiers and payment/access status, but not your full card number.
• Hosted images: when you select hosting and export, we store the finished GIF or PNG, including any visible personal information or captions. We do not upload the original source images.
• Technical information: our hosting and service providers may process request, device and error information. For upload rate limits, we record a hashed client IP identifier and upload time.

How we use information

We use this information to run accounts, confirm paid access, process payments, serve hosted images to email recipients, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems and send necessary account or service communications. We do not sell personal information.

Public signature images

A hosted image can be viewed by anyone with its link, without signing in. A private storage bucket does not make that public image link private. Do not include confidential information in an image you host.

Images are served with long-lived caching so signatures can continue to display. Email services, recipients and other systems may cache or copy them. Removing an image from our service cannot recall copies already delivered or cached. Contact us to request removal; we may need information to verify your authority over the image.

Service providers and overseas processing

We use Lovable Cloud and its hosting and authentication providers, Stripe for payments, and Google Fonts for the website's typefaces. These services may process information outside New Zealand. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate privacy safeguards. External image URLs and links you choose may involve other providers and their own privacy policies.

Browser storage and third-party services

Sign-in uses browser storage or cookies to maintain your session. Payment services may use storage or cookies to operate checkout and prevent fraud. Choosing an external image URL can cause that image provider to receive a request when the signature loads, including in an email recipient's mail application.

Security and retention

We use access controls and reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Account and billing records are retained as needed to operate the service and meet legal obligations. Hosted images are retained to support signatures already sent; they are not automatically deleted when a subscription ends. Original uploads remain in the browser tab rather than our cloud storage.

Your rights

You can request access to or correction of personal information, ask for account or hosted-image deletion, or raise a privacy concern using the contact details below. We may verify your identity and retain records where required by law. If a concern remains unresolved, you may contact the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

Policy changes

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above identifies the latest version; we will notify account holders about significant changes where appropriate.
